A few years ago, I rode my bike 150 miles to raise money for MS. It was horrible and hard and slow and I spent two whole days being challenged by myself, by my own body, my own limits, by too many miles, by heat and wow 150 miles is a lot of miles. 150 miles mostly alone, is a lot of miles. 150 miles mostly alone on a bile is maybe too many miles. I still remember the hills. I still remember how I said I would never ever ever do it again.
So let's do it again!
I'm getting back on that same 1986 ten speed bike to ride. This time, 100% of the money raised by riders like myself, goes directly to the agencies that provide quality health care, medications, support, as well as HIV/AIDS prevention education. This time, I'm ready for the challenge in a different way. I KNOW how hard it is. I know how worth it it is. I look forward to being (the slowest) part of Fenway Health's Team YLC, before I age out of being considered a young leader.
My goal is to raise $1,500 for my 68 mile ride (that's $22 per mile! Because math!) so I need your help. You can donate here, or you can come to the ride and throw money at me as I very slowly ride past. Please also provide snacks. Or beer if you're close to the finish line.
