CAUSE: Fenway Health
Riding from Boston to Provincetown
Rider #: 20
MEMBER OF: Team Fenway
On 23 September 2017, I will be riding in my 5th annual Harbor to the Bay (H2B) Charity Bike Ride for AIDS. Over the last four years, I have raised over $17,000! I hope you will support my 5th ride with a donation. H2B is a unique charity ride in that 100% of the money raised goes directly to the agencies that provide quality health care, medications, support, as well as HIV/AIDS prevention education.
I will be riding for Fenway Health in Boston. Founded in 1971, Fenway has been a leader in responding to the AIDS crisis – in Boston, in the nation, and globally - and continues to lead the way in treatment and prevention. I vividly remember the early days of the AIDS crisis – and all of my friends who contracted the virus then are no longer with us. 30+ years later, the world is a different place and Fenway has been at the forefront of the fight against HIV and AIDS.
Today, Fenway is a community health organization that provides a wide range of health services, including medical, dental, eye care, behavioral health, and so much more to a broad patient population. One of the things I like about Fenway is that it focuses on delivering quality health care to the whole person and will treat anyone, regardless of ability to pay. Health care, the way it should be.
I know that you are all bombarded with requests like this every day. I am asking you as a friend to support my efforts with whatever you can afford. My goal is to raise in excess of $5000.00 this year. Please join me in making a difference in the world we all share and a difference in the lives of so many we live with.
