Post-Ride Waddle

I hope this message finds you enjoying a nice, relaxing summer.  Here’s an update on how Noah and I are doing with our training and fundraising for the 125 mile Harbor to the Bay charity bike ride on Saturday, September 19th.

Earlier this month, Noah’s dad helped outfit us both in awesome cycling gear for Noah’s birthday (see Noah modeling below).

Sunday, we went out for a 40 mile ride and were both very grateful for our new padded cycling shorts.  We’re working on perfecting the post-ride waddle (video of Noah to come soon).  I’m not sure there’s enough padding to help a 125 mile ride, but I’ll be sure to let you know what we find out!  We’ll also keep you posted on how many celebratory beers it takes to feel better afterwards.  40 miles took one big one- we figure 125 should warrant at least 3.

Our fundraising is also coming along.  Noah’s doing great and is almost HALFWAY to his $1,000 goal.  I’m plugging along and am about a quarter of the way there.   Thanks to your generosity, Noah’s helped to stock the kitchen at Youth on Fire, AIDS Action’s homeless youth drop-in center, for a whole month.  That’s pretty impressive, I think.  Thank you for helping us to do that.
